How to Back up the Registry.

Click Start, type regedit in start search box and press Enter.
(Can also type “regedit” in Run or Command prompt to open)

Open File menu, click on Export.

In the pop up window, select export range as “all” to make a complete backup.

Enter the file name as “backup” then select a location to save the backup.reg file and then click on Save.

How to Restore the Registry.

To restore registry from backup just double-click the backup.reg file that you have saved.
