Fix 0×8024200d Vista While Installing Service Pack 1

Here is a simple fix for popular 0×8024200D error in vista.

1. Uninstall the KB954366, KB957388 from Control panel > Programs > Programs and features > Installed updates. (put the KB number in search and click on Uninstall)

2. Download and install KB947562 from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947562/.

3. Uninstall the antivirus software from the computer. (if any)

4. Restart the computer.

5. Install windows Vista service pack 1 from windows updates.
